1835 Iced Riesling 2014 - New Release
Prior to the end of 2014 we finalised the design of the new Bass River label that will appear on all wines released going forward. The first wine to be released in the new look label is the Bass River - 1835 Iced Riesling 2014. This wine replaces our multi medal winning 2011 Iced Riesling. We're pleased with the success of this wine so far with two (2) silver medals awarded from the Gippsland Wine Show and the French Australian Le Concours des Vins (de Victoria). The wine is available online at here .
Vintage 2015 #V15 is progressing at this stage about two weeks ahead of the average. Verison has commenced in the Pinot (Gris and Noir) varieties.. The photo below was taken in the Pinot Gris rows in the River Block. The photo was taken on 8 January 2015. It may be an early vintage, however the Pinot Gris is the first grape variety to ripen at Bass River and its still early days. The 2015 yield to date looks similar to 2013, which was an exceptional year for Bass River both in fruit flavour and yield.
